About us

60 minutes north of Nelson, at the south end of beautiful Kaslo, B.C., the Kaslo Golf Club has a beautiful 9-hole golf course, a clubhouse complete with restaurant, and rents out equipment and golf carts to the general public. So head for the Kaslo Golf Club, it's well worth the trip!

Situated on the North Arm of beautiful Kootenay Lake in the West Kootenay area of British Columbia, the Kaslo Golf Club offers some unique enjoyments. One of the province's oldest golf courses, it retains much of the basic charm of simpler times.

At the Kaslo Golf Club you will be impressed with the views on each of the 9 holes. A panoramic lake view the full length of the #1 fairway, and a glacier view on the 4th green will lead you to the 5th fairway lined with hundred-year-old apple trees, whose fruit you are welcome to enjoy in season.

The clubhouse, built in 2007, features a fully licensed restaurant, a diverse and reasonable menu, and specials. All food dishes served are made from scratch, and always fresh. You can dine inside or on the wrap-around covered patio from which the views of the lake and the adjacent green are nothing short of stunning. You'll want to bring your camera.

Kaslo Golf Club History

Kaslo's Golf Club dates back to 1923, when locals invested and donated their efforts and created a 4 hole course. This makes it one of the oldest in British Columbia. Over the ensuing years the clubhouse was added (and added to!) and the course expanded and evolved to its present 9 hole layout. The Club is now operated as a Not-for-Profit Society, and run by a volunteer board.

In 2006 the decision was reached by the members to build a new Clubhouse. With very substantial community support a beautiful timberframe structure (as seen on the home page) was built which raised the club to a new level. During the course of this process the clubhouse was relocated to a more convenient location, and the parking lot was expanded and paved.

Throughout its history Kaslo's course has been the beneficiary of tremendous volunteer effort, a spirit of community and is a testament to what can be done when people commit to work together. This is our hallmark.
